MFB Receives Hunger Is Grant to Fight Childhood Hunger

Baltimore, MD — The Maryland Food Bank today announced that it has received a $14,000 grant from Hunger Is to help end childhood hunger in Maryland. A member of the Feeding America network of food banks, the Maryland Food Bank was nominated by the managers of 14 local Safeway stores to receive this grant, which was made possible by customers who contributed generously during a month-long, in-store fundraiser this spring.
