 History:

Maryland Food Bank – Western Branch operates a 12,000 square foot warehouse on McRand Ct. in Hagerstown, MD. Since 1987 we have served as a regional non-profit food warehouse from which other charitable organizations can obtain food and other items for their feeding programs. The Western Branch of the Maryland Food Bank partners with more than 25 member agencies in Allegany, Garrett, Washington & Frederick Counties in Maryland.

This past year we distributed almost 1.5 million pounds through our partner agencies and touch the lives of over 2,000 families each month.

The Maryland Food Bank – Western Branch officially launched in April 2012 after a merger between the Maryland Food Bank and longtime partner Food Resources. With support from the Maryland Food Bank, the branch has hired a new executive director, SNAP coordinator, warehouse worker and driver, and purchased another truck to distribute more food.
