Harvest for the Hungry

U.S. Postal Workers Food Drive Week

March 6-13, 2010

No man, woman, child, or senior should ever have to wonder from where their next meal is coming. For the past 23 years, Harvest for the Hungry has shown that cooperation and coordination can make a difference in the lives of hungry Marylanders by raising 29.1 million pounds of food.

Are you an individual that wants to get involved? Yes!

5 great ways to give throughout the week:

   1. leave a bag of food at your mailbox on at your mail box on March 6 - 13, 2010
   2. take food to your local post office
   3. bring food to a participating business. Find one in your area.
   4. drop off food to a participating Safeway store on March 5, 6, and 7
   5. donate through the virtual food drive.  Donate food without all the heavy lifting.

Are you a business that wants to get involved? Yes!

The continued participation of the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the U.S. Postal Service in this important food drive has a real impact on the lives of Marylanders throughout the state. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are committed to distributing plastic bags to residential areas and picking up full bags of food from Saturday, March 6 - 13. To maxamize our efforts and bring in as much food as possible, we need the help of every local business.
