Capital Area Food Bank

The Capital Area Food Bank distributes millions of pounds of food each year to the community through more than 750 member feeding programs and educates thousands of local residents on hunger, poverty and nutrition issues. The Capital Area Food Bank provides food for the hungry in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties in Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia.

Center for Poverty Solutions
The Center for Poverty Solutions worked  to eliminate poverty by fostering self-sufficiency for those living in poverty, including the working poor. The Center for Poverty Solutions closed in June of 2005, but the Maryland Food Bank has taken over some of their programs including our School Pantry sites and Produce Drops.
