The Maryland Food Bank and the Baltimore City Department of Social Services (BCDSS) partner to provide emergency food distribution services for city residents. Any resident of Baltimore City may request an emergency food voucher. This includes clients with no I.D. The only requirement is to have an address in the appropriate family family investment center. Click here for available centers. Baltimore city residents who are foodless are provided with a three-day emergency food voucher to be redeemed by designated food providers. If infants are a part of the family, diapers and baby formula along with the food is also provided. Clients are eligible for any emergency food voucher twice every 30 calendar days. Clients that are experiencing a state of foodlessness due to any reason are eligible to participate in the emergency food voucher program. If a client does not have transportation to and from a provider, transit tokens are authorized by the BCDSS department.
