DONATE FOOD

Virtual Food Drive
Through our online supermarket, you can make monetary donations to the Maryland Food Bank so that we can buy the most nutritious food possible for our clients. Click here for our Virtual Food Drive.

Why are we using the Virtual Food Drive?
The answer is simple - a virtual food drive is more effective for us than a traditional food drive.  With the Virtual Food Drive, we  can respond quickly and obtain the items that our partner agencies are requesting.

The Maryland Food Bank can also stretch your dollars.  We buy food from a consortium. In most cases, we can buy over four times as much as you can at the grocery store for the same money!  With the Virtual Food Drive, you are assured that the Maryland Food Bank gets exactly the food items that are needed most - no trying to figure out what's needed most this month!

The Virtual Food Drive can also be customized for corporations, businesses, and organizations. You can invite coworkers, friends, and family to your group’s personalized virtual food drive page that includes your information and logo. A weekly progress report can be e-mailed to coordinators to track the funds raised. The Virtual Food Drive allows easy-to-judge giving contests between departments, divisions, locations, or individuals.
