The Maryland Food Bank is the best source of information on hunger in the state of Maryland. We are the only food bank serving all of Maryland (except Prince George’s and Montgomery County, which are served by the Capital Area Food Bank.


• We provide food to nearly 400 network partners, including food pantries, soup kitchens, and emergency shelters. 
• We provided 18.6 million pounds of food in Fiscal Year 2009 to our network partners and Regional Distribution Organizations.
• We gather and analyze comprehensive information on the issue of hunger in Maryland on a regular basis. Gap Analysis.  

The Maryland Food Bank offers the media opportunities to speak with those leading the movement to end hunger in Maryland through on-site tours of our distribution centers in Baltimore and Salisbury, real life stories of those assisted by the Maryland Food Bank, responsive approach to media relations, and interviews with our CEO Deborah Flateman, an experienced leader in the food bank industry.
